The iMicro nanoindenter is an accurate, flexible, user-friendly instrument that allows for a wide range of nanomechanical tests, including modulus and hardness (Oliver and Pharr, ISO 14577), storage and loss modulus, and universal testing. The iMicro can exert up to 1N of force to test hard materials, including at higher loads and larger depths. An optional 50mN force actuator can be used to configure the iMicro to test soft materials, and an optional 2D actuator can provide tribology, lateral force and other advanced research measurements requiring the determination of force/displacement along two axes.

Nano Indenter® G200X

The Nano Indenter® G200X system is an accurate, flexible, user-friendly instrument for nanoscale mechanical testing. The G200X enhances the measurement capabilities of KLA’s Nano Indenter® G200 with the inclusion of high-speed controller electronics and an upgraded interface that supports the advanced InView software suite. The G200X measures Young’s modulus and hardness, including measurement of deformation over six orders of magnitude, from nanometers to millimeters. The system can also measure the complex modulus of polymers, gels and biological tissue, as well as the creep response (strain rate sensitivity) of thin metallic films. Modular system options can accommodate a variety of applications: frequency-specific testing, quantitative scratch and wear testing, integrated probe-based imaging, high-temperature testing and custom test protocols.
