UV-12X0/ASET F5: L1BOA Basic Operations and Applications

This course provides both hands-on and formal classroom training for process and applications engineers using the Prometrix UV-1250SE or later. Students will explore the theory and operation of the system. Each student will have the opportunity to analyze materials and spectra acquired on a Prometrix SE system.

    • Audience - Process and Applications Engineers
    • Prerequisite - Students should be familiar with basic measurement operations of the Prometrix ® UV-1250 Thin Film Measurement system.
    • Length - 5 days

Objectives

At the completion of this course, students will be able to:

    • Understand DBS, SE, and ISA theory
    • Setup recipes to measure thin film parameters
    • Acquire and analyze data
    • Characterize n and k dispersion curves for unknown films
    • Create and use pattern recognition recipes
    • Transfer recipes and film models between tools
