Course Description:

This class provides an introduction to the Opti-Probe Applications. This class is intended to familiarize the student with the basics of using the Opti-Probe including the TFMS software, jobfile/recipe setup, wafer measurement, and data collection. This class is also intended to introduce the Opti-Probe measurement technologies (BPR, BPE, VIS, BB, AE, and SE) and their measurement capabilities.

Course Objectives
 

At the end of this class the student will be able to:
  • Explain the Opti-Probe operations and TFMS software
  • Explain the Opti-Probe measurement technologies BPR, BPE, VIS, BB, AE, and SE
  • Explain the Opti-Probe capabilities
  • Explain the optical thin film measurement theory
  • Describe the jobfile/recipe setup
  • Describe the film models and applications
  • Describe the pattern recognition features, setup, and measurement types
