23xx/28xx: L1BOA Basic Operations and Applications

This introductory course is designed specifically for the FAE new to the tool and Customer users. The emphasis of this course is primarily system overview, theory of operation, recipe creation, recipe optimization, and introduction to other user software features. In addition, throughout the course, students will spend half their time in the classroom and half their time cleanroom time learning the basic operation of currently the 23xx / 28xx toolsets.using the 10.x software Time in the clean room consists of writing basic recipes, writing more advanced recipes, optimizing recipes, running scans in the engineering and production modes, examining scan defect maps and liste, and checking for scan results output.

Objectives:

Upon completion student will be able to:

  • Understand the workflow of setting up, running, and reviewing of an inspection
  • Identify and describe the physical components of the 23XX/2800 hardware and GUI
  • Understand the basic mechanics of how the system detects a defect
  • Understand how to create a recipe from load, setup, and inspect
  • Understand the basic algorithm of defect detection, system administrative functions, and the Cougar
  • Understand Optics Selector and Sensitivity Tuner
  • Understand SAT, Wintoolite, and when to use it
  • Conduct SAT exercise
  • Understand iDO and/or iADC
  • Understand the steps for using iDO/iADC in an inspection
  • Demonstrate difference between iDO and iADC
  • Understand MDAT theory and excercise
