Grant requests need to be clear and concise. Please include the following information:

• Date of request
• Name, address, telephone number, and fax number of the organization making the request
• Name, address, telephone number, and position in the organization of person making request
• Brief description of the organization and its goals
• 501(c)(3) non-profit status; please provide a copy of the Federal IRS 501(c)(3) letter of authorization
• Purpose of organization’s project, total goal, portion of the total already on hand and if the funds will be used for operating or capital items
• Why the KLA-Tencor Foundation should contribute to this cause
• A list of other organizations who are providing similar support and how they are implementing their support
• Grant amount requested
• Whether or not this is an annual request for funds
• In addition to this request, list the organization names and amount of other grants being sought
• Please supply the applicable information when you submit your request for a grant:
  • Details of proposal
  • Copy of current budget
  • Copy of the most recent audited financial report
  • List of major donors/pledges
  • Board members and affiliations
  • Other comments
